DSC07661 Arnie Jones, First Nations Carver, has nearly completed the magnificent Totem Pole for the Egmont Heritage Centre. The 24 foot pole is in the final stages of being painted and is an incredible piece of artwork.

The Memorial Totem Pole will be installed on our Egmont Heritage Centre grounds in a raising ceremony September 25 2010. We are very close to our fundraising goal to complete payment for this beauty and need your help. Any amount you donate will be very much appreciated.

BONUS: A $10.00 donation will enter you in our raffle to win $1000.00 – draw on September 25 2010 at the Totem Pole Raising! BC Gaming License #25732

Drop by the Egmont Heritage Centre to watch as Arnie completes the final steps. He might even let you use your artistic skills to paint a small portion! Be sure to come to the Totem Pole Raising event on September 25 at the Museum. DSC07659

Thanks Duane! Wait til you see it in full color and standing in the center of the parking lot :) It will be a huge tourist attraction for the Museum – and Egmont.
