Wool by Rambler’s Way

My old black sweater from the 1960′s was in a box of fabric my Mom had been saving to make a quilt. I laughed when I picked it up – it was totally moth-eaten and about 6 sizes too small. I won 6 yards of Vyella – it was soft, only slightly scratchy but it was blue plaid – it took me a couple of years to decide to make a quilt with it. I still use the quilt and love it’s warmth and history.

Wool has come a long way since then but I very seldom buy clothing made of wool. I’m at the age where the less I wear the more comfortable I am. My own internal heater is working overtime.
