Egmont Heritage Center Fundraiser

The Egmont Museum hosted the ‘First Saturday Mural’ July 3 while local mural artist Dave Oram painted this whimsical mural depicting ‘Fishing in Egmont’. So many people had advice to give Dave about how the boat should look, what type of boat it should be, whether it should have trolling poles, a seine drum, etc… as we could all see ‘our’ families’ boat in the picture. Isn’t that incredible artistic ability? To make the locals feel part of the mural?

Be sure to drop by the Egmont Museum to see the first two completed murals in the series of 4. Dave will be back at the Museum August 7 to create the third mural which will depict the forest industry. You may be sure there will be great food, fun, art & history!
