Splitting Firewood at 96 Years Young

On Thanksgiving weekend my brother Graeme and his wife Lise were here to visit from Vernon. Graeme sawed up a nice alder tree which washed ashore on the beach and split enough to keep Pop and I warm most of the winter. Lise and I piled the wood in the woodshed.

Pop watched for quite a while then decided he should take a crack at it to see if he could still split firewood. Sure enough, at 96 years young he still has what it takes!
