‘Claim Your Blog’ in SocialSpark

Log in to your SocialSpark dashboard.
Hold your cursor over Help.
Click on Submit a Help Ticket (who’d have thought to look there, huh?). This will open a new window.
You will see a Search box on the upper left of your screen.
Type ‘claim blog’ in the box and hit enter or search.
Click on ‘How do I claim my blog in SocialSpark?’
Now, leave that window open so you may follow the steps one at a time.
Go back to the window where your SocialSpark dashboard is open.
Hold your cursor over Account.
Click on ‘Manage Blogger Account’.
Click on ‘Blogs’.
Now, you may follow the directions in the ‘Support Center’ topic you have open in the other window.
As it says, if you entered your blog information you will see 3 red ‘x’s’.
Click the ‘Get Code Button’.
Copy the first code, which is the code for ‘claiming your blog’ and installing the ITK.
(To copy, put your cursor at the beginning of the code, hold down the function button on your keyboard, highlight the code by scrolling your cursor to the end of it and tap the letter ‘c’, then let go of the control button.)

Here are the directions for adding the code to a WordPress blog (scroll down for Blogger):

Go to Site Admin to sign in to your blog. This will take you to your Dashboard – you may have a newer copy of WP than I do, but the principle is the same – you must add the code you copied to your html.

Click on Design.
Click on Theme Editor
Click on Footer under Theme Files
Scroll down to near the bottom of the code where you will see this tag (without spaces): < / body >.
Put your cursor right before the ‘< ' and hit enter to create a new blank line.
Hold down your 'control' button and tap the letter 'v'.
This will paste the code into your template.
Click update file and you are done there and can close the window or click 'visit site'.
Go to your SocialSpark page which is open and shows the 3 red 'x's'.
Click 'Refresh' which is right under the 'x's'.
You should see a green check mark now in front of 'claimed' and you will see a message which says your blog will be reviewed. Once your blog is reviewed by IZEA, they will advise you - and you are ready to start earning money!

Claim Your Blog in Blogger (blogspot.com blogs):

Follow the steps above and when you have the code copied, sign in to your blog.
On the dashboard, click on 'layout'.
Click 'edit html'.
Hold down 'control' on your keyboard and click 'f' for Find.
This will open a 'Find' box at the bottom of your screen.
Type the code (without spaces): < / body >.
The tag will be shown in green in your html.
Put your cursor directly before the ‘< ' and hit enter to create a blank line.
Hold down the control key on your keyboard and tap the 'v' key.
This will paste the code into your html.
Click 'Save Template'.
You may then close the window or view your blog.
Go to your SocialSpark page which is open and shows the 3 red 'x's'.
Click 'Refresh' which is right under the 'x's'.
You should see a green check mark now in front of 'claimed' and you will see a message which says your blog will be reviewed. Once your blog is reviewed by IZEA, they will advise you - and you are ready to start earning money!
