Northern Expedition

This is the newest addition to British Columbia’s Navy Ferry fleet. The ‘Northern Expedition’ was built in Germany and took about 68 days to make the trip to Nanaimo.
The ‘Northern Expedition’ will be on the run from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert, replacing the “Queen of the North’ which hit a reef and sank. It’s not the most attractive vessel, but I bet it has a double hull and is very seaworthy!

Next year, when you come to Vancouver for the Winter Olympics be sure to take a ride on one of our British Columbia ferries to experience the beauty of boating in BC and to see some spectacular scenery and wildlife. Victoria would be my number one recommendation as a destination!
The flowers might not be in bloom, but there is so much to see and do here in BC – I never tire of admiring the wonderful totem poles for instance!

Want to see a picture of BC’s newest addition to it’s Ferry Fleet? It’s not pretty, but seaworthy I’m sure! http://bit.ly/I7CUx
