I know I take great liberty in calling you my ‘Dear Friends’, as I met you only once – at ASW09 in Las Vegas, but once we hang out at SXSW Interactive March 13 – 17 2009 in Austin Texas I believe you will feel the same way.
We will become very good friends, heck we’re already halfway there as I know I like you – I have your BlogWorld and New Media Expo sticker on my computer and I see it every day and think of you.

BlogWorld Expo 2007 was the very first social media convention I attended and I enjoyed it so much I made a point of going again in 2008. And, in 2009 – you can bet the farm, I’ll be there.

I have not been to SXSW, but I have been in Austin. I lived in Texas for nearly 2 years and the saying, “I wasn’t born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could” became my motto. I HEART Texas and would love to visit beautiful Austin again.
SXSW sounds like the ultimate in ‘Geekdom’ and would be a tremendous learning experience for me. I need to learn everything about podcasts as I am the ‘Goddess of the Good Word’ for ASE09 in New York and part of my job will be to create podcasts. I’m nervous as all get out about that, and am counting on you teaching me to be a fabulous podcaster during our interview on your live radio show and our time together at SXSW!
Thanks for this opportunity BlogWorld – I’ll be looking forward to hearing you are ready to become GREAT friends, March 2 when you announce the lucky winner of the SXSW Interactive pass.
All the best,
Heather in Beautiful British Columbia

Thanks for entering and the great post Heather! We hope to see you there in Austin and Vegas either way.
