Affiliate Summit West has been a first class convention – in every way – from abundant food and drink, perfection in details and professional seminars with the most knowledgeable speakers.
The keynote by Gary Vaynerchuck was motivating while being entertaining. As a fun little add-on there was a ‘bingo’ game for all attendees to participate in. We were each handed a bingo sheet with many of Gary’s favourite words with a $500.00 Wine Library Gift Certificate as a prize! No, I didn’t win the prize, but I felt like a winner being in the room.
Gary stayed around for a while meeting and greeting and I took an XShot picture of us. I love the XShot as I can be IN the pictures I take. Usually a photographer is never in any of his/her pics – so that is very cool. Gary asked me about the XShot and said he’d seen them before. He is now the proud owner of his very own XShot
After wandering around the booths, meeting advertisers and affiliates, I found Ashley and David at the IZEA booth and spent time with them then went into the bloggers lounge to upload pictures.
While I was sitting there a man came in and was bursting with energy and excitement over the session he’d attended. He was so enthusiastic I asked if I could video him and he obliged. Please watch his take on how valuable the Affiliate Summit sessions are to attend.

I find that a moving keynote makes a big difference in a conference. It really set the mood for the event and gets people excited to be there, which in turn makes them more social and active in the workshops.
