Crystal and I have been gathering materials and making plans for a really great gift idea. We enjoy ‘crafting’ together and usually come up with some unique, simple idea each year.
This year, Crystal saw ‘Snowman Soup’ as a fundraiser at the hospital where she works and decided we should make our own.

We bought plastic sleeves and small ornaments at Michael’s, hot chocolate, mini marshmallows (colored or white) and candy canes.
Fill the plastic sleeve with 1 cup of hot chocolate mix, top with marshmallows (and/or chocolate chips), tie with pretty red or green ribbon, attach an ornament and candy cane.

For each packet type a note (or hand write to make it more personal) which reads something along these lines:
Snowman Soup
Was told you’ve been good this year
And I’m glad to hear it!
With cold weather drawing near
You’ll need to warm the spirit.
Here is a mix of ‘Snowman Soup’,
Complete with candy cane stick.
Add hot water and sip slowly,
It’s sure to do the trick!
(2 heaping tbsp to 1 cup of water)
Children would enjoy this simple craft and young and old will enjoy receiving such a cute, useful gift. The ‘Snowman Soup’ packets would also look adorable hanging from your Christmas tree to give guests when they visit.

I’ve gotten those before, but those ones come in a coffee mug. Great gift!
