Just have to watch out for the occasional scams. If you have unneeded stuff and want to make some quick cash, this is a great way to get rid of it. I would say take only cash (or paypal if you must) and exchange the goods in a public place and let someone know when/where you'll meet the person. Definitely don't meet at your home. I made room for new camera gear (5D mark 2) by bundling up a bunch of old lenses and such. Sold it within a week.
