Hollywood Halloween!

Here are a few photos of Crystal’s Gypsy Halloween Costume she and I made.

The pattern she bought wasn’t exactly how she envisioned it, so we improvised and made changes as we went! The top and skirt fit beautifully after a few adjustments and the skirt was long enough she was able to wear flip flops which made for comfort when all the other girls were tottering around in their high heels.

Crystal and two friends drove to Seattle and flew to Los Angeles.

They rented an SUV and stayed in rental accomodation found through Craigslist. Why LA, you are wondering… aren’t you? Okay here’s the deal – and I’m not going to talk about auto insurance quotes!

This is Crystal’s friend Sherry who was the ‘Queen of Hearts’. Cute huh?

Crystal was invited by 2 friends to attend the Halloween party at “The Mansion” in LA. Yes, THAT Mansion – where tickets were selling for $1000.00!

Once they were in LA, they heard there were so many other parties, the Mansion tickets were not selling out and were reduced to $100 as an incentive. They weren’t paying anyway, and knew it wasn’t where they wanted to spend Halloween when they were offered more free tickets… so they chose to go to a different party where 2500 people would be in attendance – again they were given tickets…

Their friends took them to a studio warehouse party and as you see in the pics, there was tons of entertainment and they had a blast making friends with cats, bananas, wolves, Fred Flintstone and the Top Guns! It was an open bar all night, NO rules, music and the ‘best’ Halloween party Crystal has attended (she said).

Apparently the entertainers were top quality and very interactive with the crowd. As you see in this photo, Crystal’s name was in lights! What a delightful surprise that must have been.

Now, if only I could remember the name of the studio where Crystal Lil’s is – I think it ended with ‘ran’ and it was a 5 or 6 letter name. Anyone know of it? Not that it matters, but I’d like to know!
