Toby Keith Concert was Awesome!

Crystal drove me to my friends home and I rode with them and their friend to GM Place. We had a special parking pass which allowed us into the underground parking, right next to the elevator. It was so nice to bypass the cars waiting in line like they were trying to get to 2008 Black Friday to spend their money. We parked in the nearly deserted lot, our tickets were checked and into the elevator we went. Once out of the elevator, our tickets were checked again and we went directly the box. No lineups, no crowds… and absolute luxury!

What a box it was! It belongs to Mrs. Griffiths – as in the Griffiths’ family who financed the building of GM Place in 1995. The box suite holds 20 people but there were only 4 others there when we arrived. By concert time it was nearly full.
We ordered food and drink from our private server and sat at the bar to watch the concert. Jessie Farrell was the first opening act. Unfortunately the video feed was not working so the big screen was dark. Jessie had on a glittery blue dress with what looked like a tulle skirt and brown cowboy boots. She’s a red haired little siren and put on a great show.
Aaron Pritchett was up next and he really rocked the house, getting the crowd in the party mood with his “Let’s Get Rowdy” and in the beer drinking mood with “Hold My Beer“. He is a performer I’d go see in concert as his energy was amazing and his songs were fun and ummmmm… well, just look at him!

After a short intermission, the stage was reset with a huge curtain and as the lights dimmed a video started – with Toby Keith planning the action of his movie – “Beer For My Horses“. It was redneck hilarious and so much fun, I definitely want to see the movie. Of course any movie with Willie Nelson is on my must see list.
I videoed so many of the songs my camera battery died so I didn’t even get to the end of the concert where the absolute best songs were. Weed With Willie, I Love This Bar, How Do You Like Me Now, Red, White and Blue, You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like This and I Wanna Talk About Me – oh and, Get Drunk and Be Somebody were all so much fun and the crowd was crazy. With the amount of smoke in the air (rising to the upper floor where we were sitting) we were all on quite a high!
Hopefully my videos will give you an idea of the talent, charisma and showmanship put on by Toby Keith.
