Chatterbox Falls, Princess Louisa Inlet

Some things never change…

This photo of Princess Louisa Inlet and Chatterbox Falls was given to Pop by his parents-in-law as a Christmas gift. The inscription on the back reads, “To John, Love Mother and Dad, Christmas 1941″. Mom and Pop were married in October 1940 and money was tight in those ‘old days’. Mom’s parents had 12 children, so you can imagine how difficult Christmas and gift giving must have been!

The people in the row boats were all wearing hats – and no doubt the women were wearing dresses. They look lovely out on the water for an afternoon of sightseeing!

I took the following photo of Chatterbox Falls in the summer of 2008, while boating in Beautiful British Columbia – 67 years later! The boats, amenities and people have changed, but the area remains the same thanks to the wonderful gift of Mac Macdonald.

Does anyone know how to add photos to a Wikipedia gallery? I think the 1941 photo of Chatterbox Falls should be included and would be glad to share it, but it seems to be a complicated process…
