Triggit adds Amazon links SO easily!

Triggit is absolutely the best tool I’ve come across for adding Amazon links, Flickr photos and more to my posts.

Tricia from Feverish Thoughts put me on to Triggit. She always knows of the best new sites :) and anything which makes adding photos or links easier is great in my book.

Triggit recommends Tricia’s blog Reptile Logic as a good example of how to use Triggit to add Amazon links to old content which still receives lots of hits. I like that idea – as my regular readers don’t want to be ambushed with tons of ads every day.

So, here’s a bit of how it works… I added code to my footer then installed the Triggit toolbar which is hidden until I click on a little icon. I highlight some text in an already published post, click ‘add triggit’, then click ‘Amazon’ , enter my Amazon ID (just once as it will save it for you) a box comes up letting me search for a link. When I find exactly what I want, I click ‘save’ et voila, the code is inserted. I refresh my browser and the text is highlighted and the code inserted.

Oh this is so easy and user friendly … even I was able to implement Triggit the first time I tried and I’m USING it. As an example, this British Columbia link will take you to an Amazon ad for a great backroads guide to BC.

If you have a Flickr account you can add photos to a post just as easily.

Take a look at the “Triggit blog“. I think you’ll love this cool application! If you’d like to try it, here’s the URL and the access code is my name, heather!

LOL I got an access code too “tricia”. Kind of cool to be alpha testers on such an interesting and helpful application isn’t it?

Did you try using Triggit to add Flickr photos yet? You should add a classic BC photo under your Amazon link for British Columbia … you can even resize the photos once you add them.

I talked with Zach about getting the CJ links to work and they are looking into it for us.
