The Windy City

I’ve never been to Chicago – other than the airport, just passing through enroute to somewhere else. Kent and I are going to Green Bay Wisconsin next September so perhaps we will spend some time in Chicago as well as it’s only a hop, skip and jump away and Kent loves to rent a car and drive. How many bridges are there in Chicago crossing the Chicago River? Can anyone answer that???

The Windy City intrigues me and has much to offer. Lake Michigan would be tops on my list and I know Kent would want to tour all the marina’s and waterfront. And the Navy Pier would be very interesting as it is a shipping area with shops and a museum. Kent could look at the boats while I looked at shoes and knicknacks!

Many of the best restaurants are on the Magnificent Mile and my only problem would be choosing which to try. Perhaps we need to buy an apartment in Chicago so we can spend a couple of years trying the restaurants, sightseeing and perhaps even boating Lake Michigan. We’ll need to look into home loans before looking at the real estate!

Navy Pier is awesome!!! There’s a huge ferris wheel (or there was about 6 years ago) that to me was super scary to ride on..lol. Both Waz & I would be up to a roadtrip to Chi-town as it’s not too terribly far at all from Greenbay…Great idea!!
