Maryland to Florida – Day 22

Kent, Crystal, Hugo and I drove to Miami this morning after breakfast and spent 4 hours walking the South Beach area, shopping, eating, drinking and people watching.

We ate at a restaurant where the waitresses, hostesses and dancers were all dressed in cat leotards and very, very sexy. We sat outside as Hugo was with us and he attracted a lot of attention of course! The food was good and there was plenty of entertainment to keep us busy. Inside, various dancers danced on the bar then a band started playing as we were nearly finished. The music got louder and louder and we were glad to move on.

Kent and Hugo spent most of their time in the park as Crystal and I checked out the stores – whew – there are some expensive items, and some of them made me yearn to be 19 again! The shoes… oh, the shoes, the purses, belts, jewelery, sunglasses, clothes… dresses – dresses everywhere… nice dresses – dresses I could wear…. drool, drool, drool! It was fun but I can’t tell you what I bought because you might let it slip to Kent sometime. I even had to shush the salesperson from one store because he saw Crystal, Kent and I sitting at lunch and started to come over to say something to us. He caught on pretty quick :)

We enjoyed driving back to Fort Lauderdale slowly, stopping occasionally, seeing Bal Harbor and a few more stores. The rain started just as we were leaving South Beach and dried up by the time we arrived at the boat.

We (Hugo, Crystal and I) napped while Kent checked some of the electronics. I sorted and packed a number of clothing items, did a couple loads of laundry then late in the afternoon, we sat outside for a few minutes but it was windy and cool, so we sat in the boat, played with Hugo and had a late dinner of fresh pineapple and hot dogs. We have to eat up as much as possible from the fridge now but the pickings are getting slim! Hopefully, I can find someone to give the unopened packages of food when we are ready to leave here on Tuesday morning.

Crystal wants to spend a few hours at the beach tomorrow and we’ve talked of driving to Orlando Monday… hmmmmmmm… I wonder what we could find to do there for the day???

Night night, don’t let the bed bugs bite!

These surely have been three glorious weeks!!

There’s a few days for the next blog carnival registration. Think you can pick out a favorite and submit it. One of these would be a great addition. Not that I’m trying to influence you. 8-)

Have a great week and a continued super time.

    Cheers!
